What will it take to qualify for admission to Corban?

Acceptance to Corban requires a minimum SAT score of 900 or ACT score of 19 and a minimum high school GPA of 2.7. Students must also demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and submit a Christian Character Reference form.

How do I apply?

Does Corban have my major?

Corban has more than 50 majors and program options with new ones being added each year.

Can I afford Corban?

98% of Corban students receive financial aid, and our financial aid advisors will work with you to find the best option for your situation. We offer competitive academic scholarships, and the average financial aid amount for the 2013-2014 school year was $23,178—enough to cover two-thirds of tuition costs!

Plus, you'll automatically be enrolled free of charge in The Corban Promise, a program that will help you repay your student loans if your income after graduation is low. Don't let finances hold you back from the life God has planned for you.

How big is Corban?

There are 1,150 students enrolled at our Salem campus and just over 2,000 worldwide. Corban is small enough to build relationships with your classmates and professors but big enough to provide a wide variety of opportunities.

As a Christian university, Corban requires a core of 24 units of Bible and theology with any major, so you can get an accredited liberal arts degree with a Bible minor built right in! What is there to do in Salem?

Movies, shopping, restaurants, bookstores and coffee shops are ten minutes away in downtown Salem. With the beach, hiking, snowboarding and the exciting city of Portland all just an hour away, you won't run out of things to do.

What is student life like outside the classroom?

Corban has one of the most comprehensive and active Student Life programs you will find anywhere, and there is always something going on – drama, music, intramural sports, dorm activities, sporting events, student government and crazy annual events like the Beach Party or the Lumberjack Games. You'll develop lifelong friendships, experience a variety of fun events and get involved in clubs and activities that fit your interests.

What is residence life like at Corban?

Each of Corban's six residence halls are a welcoming home away from home. You'll love the comfy rooms with plenty of space for you and your roommate, common areas with cozy seating, free on-campus laundry, storage areas and kitchens for making midnight snacks. Resident Assistants (R.A.s) in each hall provide guidance, support and accountability and lead weekly dorm devotions.

Corban graduates are serving around the world in businesses, hospitals, communities, schools, churches, government and mission fields. Each degree program integrates challenging coursework with practical experience that prepares you, both academically and spiritually, for whatever path God has for you.

What encouragement is there on campus for my spiritual life?

Chapel three days a week, dorm devotions, fellowship groups and Bible studies offer inspiration and accountability. Living in a community of Christians, you'll build relationships with people who can pray with you, encourage you and challenge you to continually grow in your faith. You'll also have opportunities to serve the community through the Reach program or participate in spring break or summer mission trips.

What opportunities are there for study abroad?

Corban University offers 15 study-abroad programs to expand your college experience. Dive into the culture and history of the "Great Awakening" of the Christian church through AMBEX, Corban's extension campus in beautiful Regensburg, Germany. Study with knowledgeable professors at Oxford University, incorporate Christian values in the film industry in Los Angeles, gain exposure to real-life journalism in Washington, D.C. or choose from any of our other programs. At Corban, you aren't limited to Salem. You have an opportunity to see the world!

Will I feel safe on campus?

Campus safety is a priority at Corban. Our certified security manager and trained security staff are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure that campus is a safe, peaceful place where you can feel at home.

Does Corban have a good athletic program?

Corban offers 13 intercollegiate sports with scholarships available. As a member of the competitive Cascade Collegiate Conference, Corban is affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).
